Risa Waldt


Born and raised in Arizona, Risa Waldt still calls this place of light and color her home. This Women Artists of the West Signature Member has juried into their 46th, 47th and 48th National Exhibitions. “In my 40+ years of painting watercolors and palette knife oils, Plein Air is my favorite venue. It captivates me. I hope my work gives beauty and peace to its viewers, that they find wonder in the amazing color that is in nature. There’s no better feeling for me than portraying what I love so much.” She is in Who’s Who of American Women Millennium Edition 2000 -2001, Western Art Collector Magazine’s State of Art Arizona 2016,17,18, 19 and Southwest Art Magazine’s Art of Arizona 2016,17,18,19  also Southwest Art Magazine’s Ones To Collect feature 2017, Four Corners Desert Art Museum Gallery March 2019, Arizona Aqueous XXXIII 2019 and has had one woman and gallery shows across the United States and Canada. She has used art to help in Psychiatric hospitals and schools over the years.
