Britt Byrne

Biography / Artist Statement

Born and raised in Lubbock, I began taking art lessons as far back as I can remember. In 2012, I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and now live and work full-time as a painter in Dallas.

I spent eight years in the corporate world and in July 2020, I made the leap to focus on painting. I specialize in fine art and oil paintings with a western-contemporary flare. When I am not painting in my home studio, you will find me in the kitchen cooking anything from handmade pasta to a batch of enchiladas.

I am always looking for the next place to travel to with my husband, Russell. Having grown up in West Texas I am heavily influenced by cacti, thunderclouds, and colorful skies. I also love to pull inspiration from photography, but my favorite source is my own personal travels, especially within the beautiful state of Texas.

Britt has participated in art shows including the 2020 Magic Hour Fall Show at the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas. She has also been a participant at the Spring 2022 edition of The Other Art Fair Dallas.
